Everest Expedition.
In April this year (2010) Jim and Marguerite are heading to Everest and it's not for double glazing either! Here's Jim's take on it, "Myself and Marguerite are joining the 2010 New Zealand Everest Expedition, leaving April for 5 weeks. We will climb with the team to the North East Ridge, beyond the North Col. We will also being going in through China and Tibet this time. Margaret is going to Kathmandu to organise us getting off Everest - the others are going to the top. We will return via Nepal. I'm scared already! The interesting thing is that we fly to China, then train to Lhasa (42 hours!). so we will traverse round Everest to end back in Nepal." |
