Greetings

The anniversary walk is fast approaching (Saturday 27th June) and the format has been agreed as follows:

Normal start time, 7.00am from Carluke and then 7.15am at Ladyacre in Lanark.  We will sort out cars from here.   We will leave cars at the now defunct Crook Inn for walkers coming off Broad Law, and also a car at the Megat Stone for anyone finishing at this spot.

A celebration drink at the Elphinstone in Biggar as this is where the first pre – meets etc., were held seemed a good idea to follow tradition. The evening Ceilidh is as previously advised in the New Lanark Village Hall at 7.30pm .   The ceilidh band has been warned of the wild dancing that will take place.

If you have not booked your place or paid the nominal £10 per head fee, please advise Davy McLellan.

The event is a 'Bring your own' booze, however, there will be beer and lager on tap to wash down the buffet.

Remember friends are most welcome to come along to join in the celebration.
