Cycling Safety.

I've recently added general mountain safety advice to the club web site, however I feel I must add some very simple advice about cycle safety. That advice is, WEAR A HELMET!  I've spoken with both John Gordon and Davy McLellan, who are two of the Club's foremost cyclists, and they agree totally. When we cycle in along a rough track, that's when we are at our most vulnerable, it's so easy to hit a rock or pothole and if you fall to the side the chances are your head could hit a rock, falling off a bike and your temple clashing with a rock is very bad news. When we drive up to a walk we wear seat belts, imagine going up a hill in the winter without an ice axe !!! Well cycling without a helmet is in the same league, so please think seriously about this.
