Welcome to the Upperward Mountaineering Club

Next Club Outing: Sunday March 18th, Glen Lyon.

Pre-meet, Woodpecker in Lanark, 8:30 on Wednesday 14th March.

The Upperward Mountaineering Club is based in the Upperward of Clydesdale and draws its members mainly from the towns of Biggar, Carluke and Lanark, though members, or potential new members, from any other part of the planet are welcome.

The Club has an active membership of around 30 members and organises day and weekend walks throughout the year. Click on the links to the left for this year's itinerary and previous year's excursions, these include photo galleries and undecimated Gazette reports.

If you want to find out more about the Club or wish to become a member simply click on the Contact Us link and this will give you the various options as to how to contact us, either by phone or submitting a form. Another way to contact the club is that on the Wednesday preceding a walk we have a pre-meet in the Woodpecker Bar in Lanark at 08:30.

To help you navigate around the site, if you click on any of the walker logos at the top left of any page it will bring you back to this page, where there is a full menu to the the left and current topics to the right.
Text is generally in dark blue, if it's a lighter shade of blue and underlined (
like this) then it's a link to another page, once you've used the link it will turn purple (like this), this just lets you know that you've used it, you can still use it again.

We try and maintain some humour on the site but if anyone is in any way offended then please contact us ASAP and it will be removed if the request is reasonable.
